Conflux Festival 2026
On September 24 – 27 Conflux Festival returns to Keile District with a full program under the theme "Tactics for Cultural Resistance". You can visit free exhibition at Katoenhuis, Stimuleringsfonds talent exhibition at Keilepand, performances at Brutus, and club night at Export.
Conflux Festival is a multidisciplinary art festival that takes place at various locations in Rotterdam. It consists of performances, an exhibition, a conference, a night program, and art in public space.

Exhibition at Katoenhuis
This year, Conflux Festival returns to Katoenhuis with an exhibition programme. Once again, for four days, the festival will fill our spaces with video and sound installations, visual art, and multimedia sculptures exploring this year’s theme: Tactics for Cultural Resistance.Works by Anne Wenzel, Yara Mekawei, Amrith de Zoete and Tools for Action, among others, will be on display. The remaining artists in the exhibition programme will be announced very soon.The exhibition is free to attend and open from Thursday, September 24 to Sunday, September 27.

Performances at Brutus
Brutus will again host performances including Alex Zhang Hungtai, Foundscape Orchestra & Farzané and Evelina Domnitch & Dmitry Gelfand, bela & Anton Filatov, Concepción Huerta, Merzbow, Nicky Assmann & Robert Pravda.
The performance programme expands with a sound performance by Mexican artist Concepción Huerta, who creates layered sonic landscapes through field recordings, synthesizers, and the physical resonance of space. Musician and performance artist bela presents an audiovisual performance with Anton Filatov, based on the work Korean Love Sonnets, a piece exploring the raw acoustics of the guttural voice and its relationship to other bodies and environments. Foundscape Orchestra and musician Farzané present a unique performance at Brutus, combining a selection from the Orchestra’s arsenal, including pneumatic percussion instruments, compressed-air-driven sound sculptures, vibration motors and organ pipes, with Farzané’s sonic textures to create a spatial composition that moves between amplified and acoustic sound, intertwining mechanical rhythms, vibrations and air. Evelina Domnitch & Dmitry Gelfand present ‘10,000 Peacock Feathers in Foaming Acid’, a mesmerising performance that transforms soap bubbles into microscopic lenses, tracing branching pathways of laser light and immersing audiences in a 360° projection of the hidden electrochemical dynamics within their delicate skins.
Club night at Export
The club night at Export brings together a powerful mix of local and international artists. Expect gritty, distinctive techno from French producer Wallis, a live set by UK artist 69db, a founding member of the influential Spiral Tribe, eclectic selections from The Hague’s Siuli K.O., and a strong Rotterdam presence with DJ Easy B, Genyten, and Animistic Beliefs delivering a high-energy, bass-heavy DJ set.
