DISTRICT x RAW2026

Looking for the perfect Rotterdam Art Week getaway? Spend your day exploring the Keile District, a cultural heart of Rotterdam M4H, where art, design, and innovation converge.
For Rotterdam Art Week 2026, the Keile District once again unites with an exciting program of exhibitions, performances, music, culinary experiences, and other unexpected discoveries. Walk between industrial buildings, pause for a drink or dinner, and be surprised by a variety of encounters waiting for you.
Program
Scapino Ballet Rotterdam presents an alienating world inhabited by hybrid creatures. A museum exhibition combined with a theatrical experience.
Double Helix, by artistic director Nanine Linning and designer Bart Hess, explores the physical impact of technological advancements on the human body. The project blends visual art, video, and performance with interactive elements to create a truly astonishing experience. Visitors can wander freely through four rooms of Katoenhuis during a one-hour guided tour.
Where does the body end, and the machine begin? Who or what will determine what it means to be human in the future? What happens if we start seeing the body as a machine, if we separate mind and body? And do we really want to limit ourselves to databases? Are we merely a collection of algorithms?

Media art exhibition Cosmic Cabinet features works of Katoenhuis community artists: Zalán Szakács, Studio den Haan, and Nick Mansveld. Cosmic Cabinet takes place in the upper space of Katoenhuis, a location that naturally feels like an observatory.
Rather than presenting only finished immersive installations, Cosmic Cabinet focuses on process. Immersive works often hide their own construction, but here the making itself is revealed. Materials, tests, and experiments are brought forward, offering a behind-the-scenes perspective on the practices of the artists working at Katoenhuis collaboratively or individually. The exhibition celebrates curiosity, trial and error, and the labour that usually remains unseen.

Curated by Ine Gevers, AUTONOMOUS is neurospicy and psychedelic, pushing back against the AI-generated monoculture of the mind. Through large-scale installations, immersive videos and interactive experiences, the exhibition launches a takeover of our computer-controlled, capitalist society.
The exhibition presents neurodiverse ways of thinking not as limitations, but as essential forms of resistance and liberation, showing that a society that can think only in terms of efficiency ultimately loses its humanity, while different ways of thinking open the perspectives needed to reshape it.

(to the ticket shop)In this participatory, contemporary ritual we explore the threshold between winter and spring, between endings and new beginnings, between living through collapse and living towards a life-sustaining future. What is this time asking of you/us?In the stillness between seasons, what are we ready to let fall away—and what is beginning to bloom in the growing light?

21:00-06:00 12,50During Rotterdam Art Week, the exhibition ItUnd’s Universe by artist Vittorio Roerade opens at the Citrusveiling Rotterdam. In this temporarily opened industrial monument, ten years of work are brought together for the first time.
More than 2,000 drawings, dozens of paintings, and bronze sculptures form a universe of parallel worlds: alienating, playful, and strangely familiar at the same time. Visitors wander through Roerade’s visual universe much as it emerged in his studio—space after space, world after world—within a site marked by history, concrete, echoes, and raw charm.

RotterdamOn Sunday, March 29th, you can sample BRASA's Argentinian Asado. BRASA was founded by a group of Argentinian friends who found each other in the Netherlands, connected by fire, food, and their shared roots. It's more than just barbecuing: it's the ritual of coming together, taking time, and sharing moments with friends and family. With every barbecue, they bring the spirit of Argentina here. When the fire dies down, one thing remains: connection.
