For the coming decades, M4H is undergoing a major transition to become an area where people can both live and work. Within this transformation, Keile District (Keilekwartier) holds a unique position, where culture, makers, and nature are closely interwoven with the urban environment.
Stakeholders of the area have united within the Keile Gebiedscoöperatie (area cooperation). Together with the Municipality of Rotterdam, and GROUP A, this collective has been working on the area ambition document for Keile District.
On September 12th, a concept version of this document was discussed with alderman Chantal Zeegers. Based on the Spatial Framework, it outlines a layered vision with ambitions in the fields of:
Working (with a focus on makers)
Circular economy
Mobility & shared facilities
The unique (tidal) nature of M4H
This marks an important step in shaping the future of Keile District and its role within the wider transformation of M4H!
