Conference “Space for Tomorrow” (Ruimte voor Morgen) by NEVAP at Katoenhuis
- Keile District

Our country faces a structural shortage of places to live, work, and enjoy life. Despite many initiatives, a permanent solution has not yet been found, leading to dissatisfaction, polarization, and a sense of powerlessness. In increasingly dense urban environments, the challenge is to create vibrant, inclusive, and resilient areas where living, working, and recreation are closely intertwined. This requires the smart integration of existing functions and the preservation of each area’s unique identity.
The aim of this conference is to unify forces and discuss how, by 2050, we can make it possible for everyone to both live and work, especially focusing on the role of cultural entrepreneurs, artists, artisans, and local service providers who form the social and cultural glue of such environments.
As Keile Gebiedscoöperatie, we advocate for a collective way of living and working, with the creative industry embedded as a permanent and vital part of the urban fabric.
